It doesn't matter how soft the push was, the push prevented a 100% scoring chance for Vazquez so any decision other than a PK would have been ridiculous.

Dive-ez was already falling before there's even contact and the contact it's too soft to make him fall anyway.

I have to admit in real time it looked like a penalty to me, but no way in slow-motion. I agree we will have better football when Messi and Ronaldo retire. till then Real Madrid and Barcelona will benefit from such calls.

This is the exact moment Benatia pushes Vazquez. Is Vazquez falling??? Focus on the position of Benatia's arms and Vazquez's expression right after he got pushed. It's his soft touch that caused the fall. Without the soft push Vazquez would have most likely scored a goal.

Its 50 50 and in this type of game you only call penalty at 90 min if its 100%clear foul from behind

If this was dybala or higuain who got this same thing... 100% they never would call it a penalty

Come on guys, I'm not a Madrid fan and I really enjoyed juventus come back but it was a penalty, if it would be out of the box, there would be no discussion. There's nothing like it was soft or 50-50 the ref should have let the game go on. A foul is a foul.

A foul is a foul but a red card for Buffon for showing feelings when giving a penalty. Nah fuck that!

We need VAR. Everywhere. VAY Has saved the Serie A. It will save the sport.

What push? He touched his back, but it sure as hell wasn't a push. There was some contact with his leg when he went to get the ball, but Vazquez froze. It was 50/50 at best and you don't give that in the 93rd minute of the game. If you're going to give a penalty in that situation, it better be 100%. And to add insult to injury, he gave a straight red to Buffon. That just shows the ref was out of his element. There's a reason there are no British refs at the wc...

That's not what your post sounded like. You told us to mark your words that Real Madrid would play Rome in the semifinal.

Var takes away from the human element of the game. So for that #VarOut! Plus there was a flag blocking Var in the Portuguese League which still got the decision wrong. Even with Var they are still making same mistakes too.

It doesn't matter what minute the game is, a penalty is a penalty. I'm not the biggest Madrid fan in the world, but fair is fair. A good scoring chance was taken away and the call was the correct one.

Now whether or not the ref would have the courage to make that same call AGAINST Madrid is a different story.

If this was Iran vs Morocco and Benatia knocked Sardar down in the same situation, and no penalty was called, you'd all be creating arguments about how it was 100% a penalty and how FIFA is conspiring against Iranians.

Flip side, Dejagah gets no PK call but if Hosseini tackled Messi the same way zabaleta tackled dejagah, it would have been 100% penalty

Or you know... if Real fouls someone inside the box.
