Germany and Borussia Monchengladbach forward Lars Stindl has been ruled out of the World Cup through injury.
The 29-year-old suffered an ankle injury during Gladbach's 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Schalke on Saturday.
He will undergo an operation this week and is likely to be out for around three months.

My favorite player during last year's Confederations Cup. I think he was wearing number 9, which is a true central forward. He really clicked up front with that new number 8 and 11.

I predict an 8-0 win for Greece.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Ha....What a disappointing end to the season for Emre Can.

No CL final, and now no WC.

Considering the opponent is the 8-0ers, it is extremely likely.
