Diego Reyes: Mexico Will Win The World Cup
Diego Reyes believes Mexico will lift the FIFA World Cup Trophy at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow – and he has a good reason why people shouldn’t consider him “crazy” for saying it.
Nobody gave El Tri a chance on winning the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament London 2012, but they stunned a Brazil team including Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Hulk and Neymar in the Final at Wembley.
“It’s very exciting – the World Cup, which is important for all footballers, is coming,” the 25-year-old Porto defender told Marca. “It’s a dream to be there. I had the chance to go to a World Cup and I know what it’s like.
“We’re going there to win it. Many will label us crazy, but they did the same at the Olympic Games. I see myself as a world champion – it’s not crazy to say it.”

Saudi Arabia striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi is to spend three weeks training with Manchester United.

The 31-year-old, who has scored 26 times in 33 internationals, is looking to sharpen up his game ahead of this summer's World Cup in Russia.

"It was agreed with Manchester United for Mohammed Al-Sahlawi to join for a training programme for three weeks, may God benefit him," Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) of Saudi Arabia, wrote on Twitter.

Laurent Koscielny to Miss The World Cup

Arsenal and France defender Laurent Koscielny is set to miss the World Cup after suffering a serious Achilles injury during the Europa League semi-final second leg.

Koscielny was stretchered off after just 12 minutes of Arsenal's clash with Atletico Madrid.

The 32-year-old lost his footing while moving towards Atletico forward Diego Costa off the ball and was in obvious distress as he clutched his lower leg.

Guerrero might be banned again. His ban was already appealed once... yet a player like Ezatollahi has to miss the first match.
              I don't get this hypocrisy.

''Fifa will fix this world cup so Ronaldo and Messi are both in the semi finals''

Persiangodfather says that fifa will 100% make sure the 2 golden boys are favoured heavily by referees, and if at any time things are looking bad a definet soft penalty call will be awarded to Penaldo or Leo without hesitation. Also no calls against Argentina or Portugal shall be made during the matches, Ensuring that the cow is milked to the last straw before these 2 retire and we can get back to glory days of football

Did both players take part in the last World Cup?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

                          Fernando Santos Doubts Portugal's Chances

Fernando Santos has revealed who he believes are the five favourites to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ – and his Portugal side, despite being the reigning European champions and boasting The Best FIFA Men’s Player holder Cristiano Ronaldo, are not among them.
“For me, the favourites are Brazil, Germany, Spain, Argentina and France,” the 63-year-old told Blog Ora Bolas. “I say this due to the enormous strength in depth they have and the extraordinary quality of their teams, in addition to their experience on the big stages and success.
“We know that we’re not the favourites and we accept the favouritism of the other teams, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have ambition and the clear goal of going into each match to win.
“We are a very strong group, cohesive. We are humble, but we know we have quality. We don’t have the intention of thinking we’re better than everyone else, but we believe greatly in our quality and know we’ll be difficult to beat.”

                            Munir Appeals to Switch Allegiance

Munir El Haddadi has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in his bid to switch allegiance from Spain to Morocco ahead of the World Cup.

CAS said in a statement that forward Munir, who is on loan at Alaves from Barcelona, had appealed jointly with the Moroccan Football Federation (FMF) after FIFA turned down his request on March 13.

FIFA rules bar players from switching allegiance once they have played a competitive international even if they hold dual nationality.

                              Musa: Nigeria Aiming for Semis

Though they face stiff opposition in Group D, Nigeria are looking to improve on their run to the last 16 at Brazil 2014.

Discussing their objectives, Musa said: “We need to set our sights high. Nigeria want to do more than just get past the group phase. We want to make the quarter-finals and even the semis. Why not?”

Musa knows what to expect in Russia, having spent four seasons with CSKA Moscow. The forward scored 53 goals in 169 appearances for the club between 2012 and 2016, the best years of his career to date.

So what does he make of his return to the scene of his finest exploits? “I hope I get selected. The World Cup is a very important event for any player.”
