He was born in Khorramabad and lived in Iran until he was 7. Longer than many of us thought, makes me dislike him even more that he lived in Iran for his first 7 years and turns his back on the country in which he is from.
If he had been born and lived in Australia all his life I think it would have been much easier to accept.
