Sven is always reported as someone money chasing. But it’s a myth. It’s not true. Fabio Capello was paid more then Sven as England manager but, that was hardly ever reported. After Sven sued the News of the World U.K. newspaper for wrongful stories, Sven gave the money to charity. Which the charity confirmed. That was never printed. He left England with the best competitive of all England Managers. Since leaving he has been sacked after reaching target and never sacked for missing target. Great manager and it would be a great appointment. When he took over the Ivory Coast for the 2010 World Cup, they was reported by all media as playing much better.

I looked up the record. He managed England men's senior national team between 2001 and 2006, as well as Mexico (2008-2009) and the Ivory Coast (2010). In the last five years he has been involved with a few Chinese clubs. At 70 y.o. his best coaching days may be behind him.
