      It's just football.
Lol i hope you do know that you're not making any sense! He was born and raised in iran. His parents are iranian , His family are all in iran ! Both culturally and physically (appearance) looks different from an australian kid ! and he chose autralia over iran for money !

It's Like messi playing for spain cuz he was raised in spain and they paid for his medical costs .

Lots of players do this, especially in Europe buncha Turks Arabs and Africans choose the Euro countries they grew up in. Dont think you need a list, there are many of them

There were 3 options. Play for Iran, play for Australia, or don't play international soccer. One is not forced to play international soccer, they choose to do so if they get called up.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

                Wrong!

                U are 19!
U are a footballplayer... Whats ur biggest dream?
                1. Play in the ChampionsLeague
                2. Play in a WC.

So... No playing international is no Option for 99% of the football players.
Whats next? U take the call up u get or u can chose between the nations wanting u, cause ur dual citizen. But u get just one offer. So would u say i dont go? NEVER! Everybody would want to go to the worldcup.

Biggest dream is playing for Iran, that's it. Not playing in the CL or even the WC with any other NT. That's me personally though, to everyone their own.

Accepting the call is 100% a choice. It's precisely why we criticize players wearing qatari jerseys.
I hope you are not a dual citizen as your logic suggests that you would align yourself based on who offers what.

Arab and African countries don't really have the cultural significance Iran does. Those countries are relatively new and were arbitrarily drawn up by European colonization.

He's been loaned to Celtic for the next 2 seasons! Best of luck for him
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

Yes but their Euro countries are World cup title contenders or very good team. Not minnow Australia

The most ironic thing about this saga is that we've had more mixed raced/khareji players choose iran. This guy was in Iran till 7 ffs and couldn't look more Iranian, even with his khareji name.

If he's more of a winger then I don't see the connection. He's competing with Forrest, Sinclair, McGregor, Morgan, Christie and Hayes. I get he is good, but I would really rather see develop on of the several young talents one has that one actually own.

Who's really benefiting from this, Celtic or Man City?
