I thought it has been more than satisfactory so far. Referees have obviously been told to clamp down on specific non sportsmanship-like offences, like time-wasting tatics on taking of free kicks and goal-kicks, deliberately standing on front of the ball to prevent an opponent's quick free kick from being taken, and my personal favourite, coaxing the referee to book an opposing player by waving an imaginary card in his face (an S&M player was shown a yellow card when he tried convince the referee to book a Dutch player).
Except for one or two questionable offside calls which were mostly harmless, and that "was it over the line?" call in Argentina-Ivory Coast, FIFA's referees have been spot-on so far. I think they deserve some credit when credit's due.
