Yes, and he is back in time. We have a new emerging golden generation in Greco and if anyone can get results in the Olympics it would be Mr. Bana.

Khadem resigned 1.5 years ago after Karimi's Israel issue but they begged him to come back and he did, but he resigned again last October along with the rest of the Federation personnel (mostly due to financial / lack of budget issues). This time they accepted his resignation.

I have to add to Navid's answer that, this time Khadem resigned after the disastrous results of the World Championship. so this time nobody begged him to come back.

I like Khadem a lot, he was a great wrestler and I know he dedicated his life into wrestling but his biggest mistake was having both jobs at the same time. and he was a kind of dictator. at first when he became the coach they tried "ONE STYLE" for all of our wrestlers, you can see Hassan Yazdani as the biggest example of his style which is underhook and constantly pushing and pushing. that worked for Iran very well early but then our opponents found solutions for that and we didn't upgrade the style. we didn't change it at all. that was the reason Reza Yazdani never could work properly with Khadem because his style was different.

another thing is that current federation is temporary, we will have the election in few weeks and the new president may change both coaches. but I hope not because G. Mohammadi and Banna are the best available coaches. for example Mohammad Banna wants 100% authority over his team and how to select them. (he doesn't believe in trials inside the country as he believes some wrestlers are only good in Iran) and one candidate Alireza Heidari claimed he won't give that to any coach.

I am very happy Mohammad Bana returned to Greco team. He is by far the best Greco coach ever in Iran and one of the best in the whole world.
And I am kindda sad about Khadem, he gave his life for wrestling, sad to see it end this way for him.

Iran won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals in first day of Greco-Roman competition. unlike freestyle we have almost all Asian big names in this competition therefore the level is higher.
today only Reza Khedri failed to medal. Saman Abdevali and Mohammad Ali Geraei won the bronze and Hossein Nouri and Amir Ghasemi Monjazi won the gold medal.

Nouri is considered as one of our chances for medal in Tokyo. despite winning the gold, he really didn't convince me . Monjazi also won the gold but still it's hard to imagine him winning medal at the Olympics. still I think he is our best shot in this weight. the biggest disappointment was Geraei losing 8-0 to Olympic Champion Kim of Korea.

we have 5 more wrestlers tomorrow, Mardani, Tab, Reza Geraei, Saeid Abdevali and Aliyari. I think we are good to win two gold medals at least by Abdevali and Aliyari.

End of the competition, Iran also won the team title in Greco-Roman but very narrowly. Uzbekistan lost 4 finals in a row, even one win was enough for them to win the team title.

for Iran, Reza Geraei and Abdevali won the gold. and Aliyari won the bronze. Aliyari who was our only medalist in World Champs last year was a total disaster today and lost his semifinal to someone much weaker than himself. Hamed Tab and Mardani failed to medal but they both lost to World medalists. I think Tab is talented and we will hear more from him. he lost here only because of his lack of experience.

Hassan Yazdani's biggest rival David Taylor is now officially out of the 2019 Worlds ! he got injured during an event few days ago and it was announced he will be out for a while. well to me Taylor was the only one capable of beating Yazdani. so if no accident happens Yazdani will win the gold easily in Kazakhstan, but I wanted him to wrestle Taylor once more before the Olympics.
