No. We haven't qualified anyone in water sports yet. And no chance of an Olympic medal in the foreseeable future.

For swimming it is record based and none of our swimmers have managed to qualify by swimming faster the qualification time. But there is a wild card for each event so I think we could end up with 1 swimmer qualifying using that.

For water polo there was supposed to be a qualification tournament in February 2020 and Iran had very slim chance of qualifying if they beat Kazakstan, but it was cancelled due to Covid and they gave the spot straight to Kazaks as they had won the 2018 Asian games!!!

That sounds like an excuse. Maybe as Iran_19 said, it is because he lost his spot.

He would have most likely made the 14 man squad. True he wasn't a starter but even recently he helped a lot as a super sub. His serving and receiving was still top 3 in the team.

- Is Ghafour still on the team?
- I looked at our last roster and it seems we have several 2 meter plus players and several of them have very good experience in Iran and Europe. Are they any good?
- Who is the next supposed star?
- Can we be a dark horse in the Olympics?
