Iran first team to seal Men's VNL Final Six spot
https://www.volleyball.world/en/vnl/...s-vnl?id=83940
Lausanne, Switzerland, June 22, 2019 - Iran became the first team to secure a Final Six spot, with four matches to spare in pool play, as Amir Ghafour once again led the side to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-14) sweep of Australia for their 10th win in 11 games at the 2019 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.
The win ensures that Iran remain at the very top of the standings and sets up a most anticipating faceoff with France for Sunday - though mathematically the Asian side cannot be outside of the top six.
Brazil can join Iran in securing a ticket to the Final Six, 10-14 July in Chicago, if they beat Germany at home in Cuiaba later on Saturday. USA, as hosts, are automatically through.
Iran outblocked and outserved the 'Volleyroos' with Ghafour leading the way on 16 points, including three blocks and four aces, before a thrilled 6,000-strong home crowd in Ardabil.

and that mistake from FIVB made our coach to believe we are already there and he played today with his bench players and that was too easy for France. I don't think we can blame FIVB for this, we should do our own calculations . of course it's possible for Iran to qualify even tonight based on other results but if not we can't risk not sending main players to Bulgaria. that was very stupid today.
