I hope we take a good team to the Asian Championships - having Japan win this twice is not good even if we took an U23 team in 2017 and a Reserve squad in 2015.

A continental trophy is still a continental trophy.

Qualifying to the Olympics is the only thing that we should focus on this year.
As far as I am concerned we can send our B teams to all other tournaments.

100% agreed. the downfall of our volleyball started when we got cocky and sent B/U23 teams to the Asian Championships. if we claim we are the best team in Asia we have to prove it in the court, beside that we only won this title twice !!! it's not like we had won it 15 times and that's nothing for us anymore.

Olympic qualification is a mini tournament and our chance is very slim after all. of course we have to try our best but to me the most important tournament this summer is the Asian Championships. of course if coach decides to rest 2-3 players (Marouf and Mousavi for example) I'm fine with that. but he has to use the core A team to win the title. of course we will have the World Cup only 10 days after the Asian Championships, we have to think about that too.

beside that if we fail in Russia, we have to finish in top 8 of Asian Championship to qualify for the "Asian Olympic Qualifier" and don't tell me a top 8 place is guaranteed for our B team. we are grouped with Australia and Qatar and the last time Qatar beat our B team in the AVC Cup.

Heard other than Brazil, the rest came with their young teams to the final stage. Specially Russia, while the core of our team has been the same in almost a decade. What if something happen to Marouf, or Mousavi, they are not getting younger either!

we have good young players coming through that got minutes in bulgaria game for example. Hazratpour, shafiei, kazemi also toukhte is highly rated. The other teams all have older players who already have a ton of experience and are essentially done growing as a team, close to max potential. Our older guys are still improving and growing as evidenced by their performances this nations league. Sometimes its ok not to be harsh or worried haji. But I agree, even in younger crop, nobody close to replacing or being heir to marouf in the setting and passing department.

that's not true, some of them were missing some players but "young teams" ? USA team was as old and experienced as Brazil. the only "B" team there was Poland.
Russian team was so young but that's their "A" team right now, they will add 1 or 2 players (Mikhaylov and Muserskiy) to that squad for the Olympic Qualifiers which happens to be against Iran.

as for Iran, the only replaceable player is Marouf (and then Ghafour) we can live without the rest.

btw World U21 Volleyball Championships will start tomorrow in Bahrain, and Iran will be one of the favorites, you can see a glimpse of our future volleyball in that tournament. the same group of players won the World U19 Championship two years ago. 3 of them Hazratpour, Yali and Sharifi were already in the senior team

a asghar mojarad will be just as good as mousavi maybe in 1 year, he is already breathing down his neck.

Right now Marouf ofcourse nr1 key player and then its Ghafour and Fayazi but Yalii is the new Fayazi is maybe 1-2 years

Yali hasn't impressed me at all, but Mojarad is great.
I am not sure if you guys know him but Rasoul Aghcheli is a huge potential. He was the star of Iran's youth teams that shined in Asia and the world a couple of years ago. He has had a heavy injury but he is the one to replace Ghafour and Mahmoudi with.

he is not Under 21. he was U21 last time 2 years ago when Iran finished 5th.

no report about his injury. I assume that means it was nothing serious
