The 1994 Champions League final is the best elite football final performance of all time.

Barcelona had won La Liga 4 years in a row. Milan was a mess - Van Basten injured, the world's most expensive footballer (Lentini) injured, Baresi and Costacurta their stalwarts suspended, couldn't call up Jean-Pierre Papin, Raducioiu and BLaudrup because of UEFA regulations...



But Milan pulled off the greatest finals performance in Champions League history, possibly elite football final history. 4-0 win.

I watched that game live and as, at that time, an AC Milan fan, it was a great evening for me.
Fabio Capello was one of my fav. coaches of all times (along with Giovanni Trapattoni, even though Trapattoni coached Inter in the 80ies).
That AC Milan team of early 90ies was special, amazing line up and roster.

I listened to that game live as it was on a pay per view channel and I had no picture but still the audio was coming through. Prior to the game I was sure that Barcelona would win.

i had just moved to US at that time so had no access to anything football i just remember reading about the result after and being shocked how Barca could lose like that

back then football was good, so many talents spread across various teams.....nowadays with inflated prices on overrated players has killed competition
