We are playing our home leg in Qatar because the FA president that is recognized in the country is not recognized by FIFA so they can't officially host the game, that's why a lot of our first choice players weren't called.

Pakistan knocked out by Cambodia in the first round of AFC qualifiers. Commiserations Azeem. Pakistan FA really needs to get its act together with this lack of competitive football.

Our FA has been in a political turmoil for the last four years, it's a good thing we didn't progress really it could have been a massive embarrassement against the top sides.

This inactivity for the teams that get annexed in the early rounds in the following years is bad for the lower teams football to grow but at the same time much of Asia is very far behind from the top sides putting them straight with the bigger teams will further create the perception about Asian football that it isn't competitive which is bad for the region in the long run.

There needs to be a nations league type tournament in Asia but the for that the Asian Cup has to be moved a year further.

Zeshan Rehman CB played for Fulham he is still in the NT

Bloody hell! I remember when he was only 21 and made the choice of Pakistan over England (he had grown up with the England youth teams). It was in the papers, then he debuted for Pakistan a year later.

When I first saw him (think he was 20) I thought he was immense but his career trajectory didn't quite hit the early promise.

Only 24 caps for Pakistan... says it all really (Regarding Pakistan's commitment to football).
