    South Africa knock out Egypt

    Comment

South Africa gave Egypt too much respect in the start and let them develop a play despite that Egypt never looked threatening but in the second half Bfanas took on Egypt.

Salah looked off color might be the flu, apart from two defense splinting passes was invisible in the game.

The gap between African teams is so slim, compare to Asia, and too many defensive teams with lots of score of 0-0 or 1-0 in this tournament.

Only the third time both finalists are lead by local coaches.

I like both teams Senegal were unlucky with the fair play rule, Algeria have like conceded only two goals and scored 10

Algeria wins 1-0, become African champions for second time in history. The last time they won the tournament was almost 30 years ago, in 1990. Here is the sole goal which came in the third minute. (Almost an own goal.)

I like teams that have true strikers with number 9.

                        Why almost?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

one of the worst finals Ive seen recently. Overall really disappointed by AFCON. The teams seemed so slow in terms of thought and really lacking football IQ. Did nothing to dispel stereotypes about physical but technically lacking african football. I find it weird because many of the players by themselves are excellent for their clubs, but in the national stage they are really poor as a team. Senegal were atrocious and couldnt complete more than three passes.

Overall, Id say the best team of the tournament won. Congrats to algeria.

One of the most boring winning goals in a final I've ever seen.....
