This guy has broken all Iranian records, so wouldn't really hurt us if he actually was doing.

Olympics in general have been ruined by doping. All sports.

Is there any effort to popularize and enhance weightlifting among women in Western Asia? I see a lot of championship titles and medals from East Asia. It is the type of sport one can do with a more conservative dress code, unlike for e.g. waterpolo.

In my very anecdotal experience, the more clothes I wear while weightlifting, the harder it is for me to maintain form freely.

If I wear long pants or sweaters I actually feel like my range of motion is less for things like squats and military presses. Could be just me though.

                Same here.
But I see it as a bonus, more energy and effort needed.

The same is true about track and field. It seems that the sport can't ever stay out of the doping news.

He has broken records in his own super heavy weight category. How many records does Iran still have?

Well all the previous official records in the super heavyweights (or just in absolute terms) were set by Iranians. So Iran used to have 3 records and now has 0.

Are there any Iranian female weightlifters who have good potential for winning medals?

No idea, I think our fellow member Iran_19 is more of an expert.

Yes but they both immigrated to Europe a few months ago after the usual poor treatment by the federation. One of them qualified to Tokyo2020 but was prevented from participating. The other already has medals in cadet and Junior worlds so she will surely medal but not under Iran's name anymore unfortunately...
