    Daniel Arzani @ FC Utrecht | 2020-21

Daniel Arzani is on loan at Utrecht for the upcoming season. I’m sure there are at least a few others who are interested in how his career progresses, so I decided to make a thread.

This is in the international subforum. New thread was created with mod’s approval.

He played around 30 minutes as left winger in a friendly against Ajax. His team lost 5-1. He was involved in a nice build-up and had his shot saved by Stekelenburg. Later he went down in the box on a counter attack but penalty was not given.

His career has stagnated since choosing a wrong nationality.

Yea... I'm sure being third in his group behind Bahrain in WCQ with a realistic chance of elimination, in a team which with the latest FIFA ruling would be lucky to afford a friendly against Somalia, would have done wonders for his career.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. No one is saying there is any causation here, but you can't fault people for being amused by the correlation.

There is no correlation and there is nothing amusing about his situation. He tore his ACL.

Apparently he is playing with their second team in the 2nd league and not with the main team. Not very impressive considering Eredivisie is a place where youngsters play regularly. I don't think TM is missing out on Arzani.

Sad. He looked like the real deal during the last World Cup. Maybe the ACL injury ruined him.

Extremely difficult coming back from an ACL tear. It takes a lot of physical and mental dedication to get back to form, even then a lot of times it doesn't end up being 100%.

no were not. Delfi and mohebbi are bigger talents if they can get over some niggling injury troubles. and I dont even compare to gholi, ghoddos, ghaedi.
