Amouzad looks amazing. 11-0 against the European champ, easy.

Damn it looks like after Tazhadinov’s last match he was holding his hand and grimacing. Hope he recovers in time for the Snyder matchup.
Rahman will avenge his last second loss to Musaev. With Rahman it’s always about the gas tank. Technically he is head and shoulders above the rest of the weight division.

I was waiting for this day for months to see a historic moment in person. My first time ever watching wrestling inside the stadium. We were over the moon with Zare's win and then...
He seemed fine in yesterday's matches so we were speculating whether he was injured in the warm up or if the Bulgarian knew about the injury and attacked the shoulder from the start.
I don't know if it was reported but after the match Yazdani's father who was not sitting far from me fainted so there was a long pause in matches until the medics came and took him away.
Also there was a huge angry verbal argument between Yazdani's coach and UWW medic Dr Shaygan after the match. Apparently the coaches asked for the shoulder to be taped during injury time but it wasn't done for whatever reason!
I will be in the arena again tomorrow. I just hope Zare's gold can relieve the pain a little.
Personally I would get so nervous I would hide under the bench during fights and walk back and forth like a looney and get kicked out.

Whatever the result this year, its comparable for iranians to other olympics. 86 kg is not russian weight, 125 is not, 97 sad not competing is just a little tweak on the result, but he seems done and is injured. Back problems.
65 KG I rate Muszakaev highest of Bi Rahms opponents.
If the results hold it will be Irans top 3 as we have less weight classes too.

Azarpira HAD the win against Tazhudinov. He HAD it. Late scores by Tazhudinov resulted in the defeat. I am proud of Azarpira for putting up such a good performance against the dagestani but can't help but feel so disappointed.
Anyway Amouzad against Musukaev is coming up in a few hours and this is the real final despite being a semifinal match. Both Amouzad and Musukaev have looked fantastic and it will really be a close match. If Amouzad wins he will either face Kiyooka of Japan or the mongol and both these wrestlers are extremely good and dangerous. The final will be another very difficult match.
If Amouzad manages to win the gold it will be the most impressive gold run ever by an Iranian wrestler. Winning gold would mean Amouzad survived the murderous road that is 65 kg which has by far the most talented and deepest roster of opponents in any weight class or wrestling style in these olympics.
