I love J'den Cox, both as a wrestler and his character. When I say this I say it with outmost respect:
We have been overestimated him for a while now. Not to take away anything from Cox, nor Ghassempour.
But the fact is: He has no business clinging on to 92 kg weight class. It's blatantly obvious that this guy has been cutting weight like a mad man all of his career just to position himself att good brackets, regardless of weight-class.
He cut too much at 86 kg and would never in his life get a gold medal there.
Then he goes up to non olympic 92 kg and gets more power and becomes a stone wall.
I mean, compare the size of him to Ghassempour!! The guy is a freaking wall! Ghassempour looks like a midget in comparison.
No wonder Karimi couldnt do anything against him.
I'm glad Ghassempour won, and maybe it will give him the right incentive to move up to 97 kg where he can compete at his "natural" weight class. But then again: He may not even medal there.
