Guess Taylor’s pre-tournament prediction was correct: Kamran is a predictable wrestler

    Welp.
Ghassempour loses to Taylor. They had a plan for him. He was up 2-0 at the break, Taylor came in more energetic to take advantage of the conditioning difference and managed to score two takedowns. He defended well, and Kamran couldn't score for a minute and a half. At least this answers any 'what if's' about who should've gone to olympics at 86kg.

Nokhodi won bronze beating the Japanese wrestler 10-0. I didn't expect him to wrestle today after that knee injury yesterday.

We are in a slump of form. We are still very good in Freestyle. Kamran got unlucky. He is still the best in the weight class and sadulaev only relies on momentary brilliance. This works for now, but he is done as a wrestler. Doing badalkari is lottery.

Don't forget a lot of other countries include former Russian wrestlers since Russia is banned. I can only name a handful of strong wrestling countries that purely use their own true wrestlers (Japan, Iran and USA...) there are probably more but can't think of them.

Greco Roman is so much more technical than freestyle. With freestyle you can get away with being a quick, athletic and a gas tank. This is why you see so many wrestlers from many countries do ok in freestyle.
