It's a good learning experience for Goleij. I hope this fires up our finalists!!!

wow i think goleij managed to push snyder out with his foot in that 5sec to last just before he was khak. anyone agree with that? or have the vid?
only negative of this coach has been the challenges, he made one crazy bad challenge and lost it and now should have challenged with only 3sec left!

Elahi is in for a bronze ... Green is out! Which alongside Goleijs bronze fight evens out that only Snyder medals (silver?) We will eventually pick more points than the americans from the last fight day?
The best scenario is us winning fights against americans in finals which would pull us up more than them. But the big question is: Will 2 golds where one is against an american suffice for the team title?
In other words will it be enough if iranians
Win 2 golds, one against an american and for example ghassempour
+ Elahi and Goleij medaling bronze?

Also, as heart breaking it is to see Goleij lose out like this and Amouzad not living up to our (mine too!) crazy expectations this time. We cannot forget that the other fighters stepped up and have been amazing.
Before the tournament the worst iranian critics said, max 2 silvers in this tournament.
Now we are talking about potentially bringing the team title home!
As aghaye Amel once said: میراث پدران ما است
Regardless of outcome we should be SO proud of this young team carrying the torch. An ancient legacy still going strong!

Some historic moments culminating in the World championship, both for the sport and especially our country
- 16 - 0 in wins! Go TM
- Our boys overcoming mental challenges like it's nothing: Yazdani winning, Ghassempour winning, Goleij defeating that first guy
- Us bringing home a world gold in heavy weight after 32 years! that was the full brackets. (yes Stevenson did not compete, but he has left the sport and Zare was even better than him in this tournament)
- The sport has also seen heavy weight evolving into modern fighting. These sanging vazn chekamooha that only hugged each other are done and gone. Now we see heavy weights that are lighter and more agile and technical that will dominate and make the sport more watchable!

So before there was 120+, you had one guy 120 and other one 150.
It was ugly to watch as there was no action.
