And Yaz positioning is superb in the fight. The times Ghassempour took out distance Yaz really didnt expose his legs.

You know, when they had their first matches, I thought Yazdani was just taking it easy on purpose because he was a friend and Iranian, winning like 5-2 or 6-3. even though I had watched Kamran win world u23 gold I hadn't realised just how good he is. Then I saw world champs 2021 and I realized why their matches were so close.
Kamran is probably the best shooter in the world right now and one of top 10 pound-for-pound.

Found the 10-0 Taylor win vs. Zahid Valencia from Final X. Obviously Taylor's experience showed and came through. He learned from the first match, and controlled the second match entirely. Having said that Taylor looked winded at the end of the match. Definitely doesn't have the stamina he did when he was younger. A Yazdani-Taylor rematch in the Worlds will be epic.

I truly believe Goleij and Mohammadian both can beat Snyder. In a one on one both can. Goleij just had a sooti and gave up the fight. He is inexperienced on world level but wont make that same mistake again. Mohammadian on the other hand, he chokes against lesser opponents, he has mental barriers. But Snyder is nowhere near a favourite for 97 kg as americans like to believe.

Also americans have high hopes for both Burroughs and Dake because russia is out of the picture. I dont agree. Both are getting older and the probability of upsets in both classes are WAY higher this year.

Then we have Ghassempour vs Cox. Cox is out of form and Ghassempour was CLEARLY the better wrestler last time. Now he is more experienced also and have gotten more adjusted to his weight class.

Last but not least, they are hoping for Taylor and I understand why. Thing is nothing speaks for Taylor winning again. If he does, then he is pulling a huge upset.

Zares biggest obstacle is Taha Akgul. I genuinly dont se Geno being a threat any more. The guy is too old and his gassing will increase year by year. Last year he completely broke, this year he will not stand a chance. As the article says Zares biggest opponent is his injury, but even an half inform Zare is gold medal favourite IMHO.

here's the first match between Taylor and Valencia in Final X. Zahid did a good job neutralizing Taylor in the first half and the start of the second half. But his inexperience resulted in frustration and gassing out. Taylor obviously took that to the bank in the second match against Zahid.

Zahid has No offence going for him whatsoever. He couldnt underhook even IF His life depended on it and he could not shoot either.

Imho this fight only reflected what zahid couldnt do rather than anything else. Yaz om the other hand Will get to him big time

Also look how Taylor is the one controlling the mat.
