uncharacteristic by him. He was in driver seat and could have just held out...

Hard to overstate how shockingly bad of a performance this was from Iran GR. WTF happened

        Comment

Pretty much the worst possible outcome for our GR Team this Time. They definately need to adjust and learn from what happened to get better results next major Event.

The Serbian really nicely neutralized geraei’s attacks, to his credit. He earned the points by diverting geraei’s attacks and taking him to the ground. His coaches did a great job in getting him ready for geraei’s moves that would typically pulverize opponents.

Bana will probably get sacked after this.

doubtful considering team silver just last year, junior team gold last month...not like we have any better options than god father of iranian greco.

but definitely adjustments and and new prep is needed

                  It happens.
Bana is tried and tested. To let him go over this would be insanity.
What we should judge him on is the Olympics in 2 years time.

Both Geraei brothers are risky and gambler wrestlers. In Olympics he got really lucky tbh. You can't always have luck on your side.

Mirzzazadeh doesn't have much chance of beating Kayaalp. But lets hope..
He lost 7-2 to him last time.

Mohammed Reza's success isn't luck. He is a legit Olympic champion. Before today's loss, he had only 1 point scored against him at Belgrade in 3 matches. And he was on his way to an 8-0 win, but the Serbian figured out his attack strategy and used it against him (which he deserves props for). Even the best wrestlers have an off day/tourney.

Honestly Gerai lost because of what makes him great. He is the wrestler who is always looking for the finish. He was up 4-0 with 2 minutes, and he gambled for the highlight. Didn’t pay off this time. He could have played it safe and take the win.

Our wrestlers are very good, we just had a bad tournament. A bit unlucky. Let’s go back to the training room, and we will be back stronger.

                              BANA is not going anywhere.
2024 OLYMPIC is what is matter
bana team needs to make sure it qualify for every
                              weight catagory there is.

He is special and talented but he get lucky. He made a come back twice in last 20 seconds of his matches in olympics and also in world champs.
Playing with fire, at some point you pay the price.
But yes, he is talented, so is his brother, but both have hard time managing the clock.
