Khalili looked like he is next in line of great Iranian wrestlers. Also was very impressed by Sayar, Khateri, Pirdayeh and Hosseini.

Amirhossein Abdevali got bronze but he will be a major problem at super heavyweight in the next decade+ if he continues to develop... With Mijain lopez and Riza Kayalp out of the picture long term, somebody will need to take the throne, maybe it can be him (ofc a long long way to go)
He is the brother of Saeid abdevali, one of our best in Greco ever talent wise.

U20 Worlds: New stars in focus; Iran aims Freestyle title defense | United World Wrestling
AMMAN, Jordan (August 7) -- A week after the U17 World Championships ended in Istanbul, Turkiye, top wrestlers in the U20 age category will assemble in Amman, Jordan for the World Championships in that age group.
The Jordan capital, which hosted the U15 and U20 Asian Championships in July, will see 672 wrestlers in three different styles with Freestyle kicking off the championships on August 14.
Iran will once again be the favorite to win the team title in Freestyle as it boasts of wrestlers including defending champion at 125kg Amirreza MASOUMI (IRI). The United States finished second last year and will look to upset Iran this time as it brings Luke LILLEDAHL (USA), Meyer SHAPIRO (USA), Mitchell MESENBRINK (USA) and Bennett BERGE (USA).
Iran will be the favorite to defend its team title in Greco-Roman as well as it has named Ali AHMADI VAFA (IRI), 2021 U20 world champ Amirreza DEHBOZORGI (IRI), Alireza ABDEVALI (IRI), and returning silver medalists Abolfazl CHOUBANI (IRI) and Fardin HEDAYATI (IRI).
No doubt the Individual Neutral Athletes will affect the podium finishes this year but Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine are also sending strong Greco-Roman squads to Amman.

Good news is JB is out. Marsteller record is a kind of flukish quite narrow win over savadkoohi after lucky badalkaari in clinch quite recently. He wont be able to repeat it. Other than that nokhodi has completely outclassed him with TF win. Either case iran is heavy favs in 79 kg.

This years worlds we will see dominance by Iran in heavier weight classes. Ie the upper half of weightclasses. We have gold medal contenders in 120, 97, 92, 86 and 79. We also have good medal contenders in 74 kgs and 70 kgs and gold medal contender in 65kgs.
The biggest difference from previous years is that since last year we have a gold medal winner in 65 kgs finally and we have a serious gold medal contender in 79 kgs.
Its becoming more and more apparant that 57kg and 61 are our problem classes. The wrestling federation seriously needs to do something about it. What suggestions do you guys have? What are we missing in these clases in senior level eventhough we fortunately become less and less gad kotoleh in recent years.

We need faster wrestlers in 57 and 61. If they were smart they would go for the fastest guys in the weight class and just build on their technique. I believe they did something similiar in nokhodi or someone around that weight class in Oslo Worlds. They just picked up a super athletic guy and started to work on his technique.
