We’ve discussed some of our wrestlers stances and how important that is and how a few have gotten defeated simply by being too exposed.
While GR and FS wrestling are weight matched, sumo wrestling is not. This small sumo wrestler demonstrates the importance and clear advantage of keeping your center of gravity low and how to use your (much larger) opponents’ momentum and vectors of rotation to defeat them. And he's got a pretty mean underhook! Very interesting to watch.

Youre spot on I have been complaining about this issue for more than a year. They need to work on the lads fitness. They get tired of keeping low stance.
Mehdi Taghavi, 2x 66kg world gold medalist joined Kaveh's staff in coaching capacity. Known as "computer e koshti", one of our most technical wrestlers ever.
Ehsan Lashgari, who won bronze in London olympics and has since been coaching a lot in the US also joins in similar role. He actually defeated a much younger DT many years ago (Tech'd him if i recall correctly).
Don’t forget Nokhodilarimi also got gold at 79. It’s a shame that Vafaipoor didn’t get to wrestle. Really was looking forward to seeing him.
Additionally, what does Azapiara’s win do to the 97Kg? I think the plan was to go with Ghasempour. But I think he is just a bit small for that division. I really feel bad for Ghasempour.
