Euro 2021 - Discussion & Tickets

This tournament (to be held across 12 different countries) is scheduled to start in about 2 months, yet still zero confirmations regarding the cities, fans, tickets??

I am desperately looking to get tickets for the matches in St. Petersburg, but UEFA hasn't listed any available tickets and have said more info to come soon. Anyone here got their tickets last year before Covid? any update with those tickets? Fans are allowed in Russian stadiums and I read they want 50% capacity at Gaz Prom arena for the games in June.

I've considered buying a ticket from Stubhub, but to apply for Russian Fan ID, it asks for a ticket number. I'm hesitant to buy from somewhere like Stubhub as their ticket number may not match that of UEFA official portal.

Anyone has had experiences with that 3 years ago for the WC?

anyways, hope we have some clarity on the tickets soon .... and will be fascinating in what shape/form this competition will go ahead. Must be clusterfuck with over half of Europe in lockdown.

I wasn’t impressed with the 24 team lay out last time - was much better at 16.

I know they were doing this ‘different countries hosting ‘ thing due to it being an anniversary of the tournament but seems crazy to do it now with the amount of travelling the players will be doing.

Knockouts onwards should be a fun watch like last time.

Copa America format this year is really dumb also. 2 groups of 5 with top 4 advancing. Again, knockouts should be decent to watch.

I think they will expand it to 32 teams after all it's better than having the third team in the group progressing which ruins the group stages. Also the new qualifications assures one of the team from the bottom tiers of the Nations League will qualify they can lose all the qualifiers but still can qualify from the play-offs. joke
