        me neither..!!
however if these greedy cunt clubs who constantly pretty much Buy their way into football glory want to completely shield themselves from even an occasional defeats by underdog clubs by forming this bs league, then im all in favor of restricting their players from participation in FIFA world cup competition..!! and any other further punishment that could be put against these asshole's bs new venture.... probably what would hurt their ambitions the most is if the top EU leagues chip away from their TV exposures and instead enriching other clubs in their respective leagues with them..!

I do not mind having a super league if ALL THE TEAMS can be relegated and promoted based on their performance, which is kind of like CL, so no need for another league.

As proposed, it is only bringing the American Sports Oligarchy structure to the world's game. It has to be stopped for the good of the game.

The want to make Soccer a monopoly like the American NFL, NBA, etc, where you have to buy into the franchise and then can never be relegated, guaranteeing a source of income. They tried really hard to export American Football but despite several attempts it failed (mainly because it is a stupid game designed around TV commercials). Now they are just trying to take over "Real Football".

FIFA/UEFA should come in really hard on this. I support throwing these clubs out of their domestic competition, banning the players from playing in any FIFA tournaments. They want to have their own competition-free league, then really give it to them and throw them out of all other competitions.

I get what you're saying re: having to buy into the system, but I don't think that is exclusive to US sports. Honestly, an NFL-style salary cap system would create a much more equitable environment for club football that what currently exists (in the NFL each team has the same amount of roster funds to spend, and the large clubs subsidize the smaller clubs. The rich clubs do retain the advantage of being able to spend additional dollars on coaches and facilities and such, but I think this is still lightyears ahead of what exists in most European football leagues. Additionally scouting of young players is facilitated on league-wide basis, helping to create some parity in that aspect too).

That said, I'm also totally in support of FIFA/UEFA coming down super hard on this money grab by elitest big club owners.

The only way of stopping this is to have UK and Spain government involved . They should sanction any sort of Super league games to be played on their soil . But since Money talks, they won't dare to do it.

Super league not only gonna destroy football but its also gonna destroy UK economy really bad. Most business in uk (food/restaurants ) make majority of their income from football night take aways. Every smaller team gets excited watching their team playing against Man u or Real or city or arsenal etc...

European Super League: Ministers say they will work to block breakaway group

The government has said it will do "whatever it takes" to prevent a breakaway European Super League involving six leading English clubs.

The PM said ministers would be working to make sure the league did not go ahead in the way being proposed.

The Duke of Cambridge also said he shared fans' concerns about "the damage it risks causing to the game we love".

The 12 founding members of the league - plus three yet to join - would be permanent and never face relegation.

The competition would have 20 teams and the other five sides would have to qualify each year for the competition, to take place midweek and rival the Champions League.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham have signed up to the plan.

They would join Spanish sides Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona and Italian clubs AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan. .....

obviously they dont want any other gang tapping into their lucrative turf..!! the Fans are mostly fked either way with or w/o superleague.....its either gonna be the same ol FIFA or a gang of super rich elite clubs who are gonna be monetizing the game/fans to their own benefit$$..!
to ban supposed super league players from taking part in International games is off course easier said than done ....!! but at the moment they are just trying to kill this initiative in its track before it gets legs and going, so they'll throw anything to scare them off.... even if its threats of banning their players from International competition ....!! but do you honesty think they can enforce such a ruling ...?? highly doubtful...!

There is no way they would implement this, especially for players that are currently signed to the club. What are they supposed to do? They can't not play, they are employees of the club. I think this is just a game of chicken, and eventually the two sides will come to an agreement where nobody is happy, but it is closer to the middle. Ultimately, it is the fans that will suffer, this may have huge implications.
