How can a Coach choose a 19 years old for PSO in a Euro-Final...?

A 19 year old which I believe was substituted in the last two minutes of the game's 2nd extra time, never had a chance to feel the ball.


Removing Players with tired legs is one thing, but to put a player in who barely played a minute in the game, and then go and ask him to take a penalty in a euro final has to be the most stupid decision of all.

Southgate pulled a Ghalenoi and made last minute subs anticipating a PK shootout (the only thing marginally "better" than Ghalenoi was that he didn't sub out his goalie). Aside from the young age of the subs/PK takers, how do you think a player freshly subbed in for a PK is going to react? Honestly, that was a bunch of kids sarcastically doing the same thing irib was doing. Very loos and bimaze and it didn’t translate well at all.

They did not deserve it.

Southgate made a really poor decision with those 3 subsitutes who missed the penalties.
