Of course the knock affected DT but:

Kuruguliev not setting a high pace benifited him.

Kuruguliev getting caught in scrambles benefited Taylor in 2 round.

Delusional fans thinking Naifonov is easy wrestling against. If Yazdani manages that pace for 4-6 minutes, then he has a clear shot at gold.

Compara Kurugulievs pace to Naifonovs pace in the semis. Compare the hand fighting.

Guys we all love our koshty. But some of our hamvatans have done the same thing to David Taylor's insta page as they did to Messi when we played Argentina in world cup. These shameful acts need to stop. Cursing out a wrestler in his instagram page shows how classless we are. This stuff is childish and need to be stopped. All of us Iranians love to see Yazdani to win tomorrow, but at what cost?

I agree. It is not necessary to be mean. To be fair, both sides are doing it. We should stop it because it is un-sportsmanship, especially in Koshty.

I agree with everything you said. I don’t think our hamvatans should ever stoop that low. But if some other country was doing to Taylor and Dake, I wouldn’t bat an eye. They are the biggest assholes in US Wrestling. They have no class.

I completely agree. Both sides need to stop. Trolling is childish and classless.

And I agree 1000% with what you said. Those 2 are the biggest jerks. This Taylor guy is such az khod mamnoon guy. Did you see at the end of his match against the guy from San Marino, he kinda stepped on his foot or something. I hate both of them with passion. But as we both agree, stooping to that level of trash talking I think is crossing the line.

So him and the kid from San Marino have history. Myles Amine is from Michigan. Dad is Lebanese and mother is from San Marino. Myles wrestled for University of Michigan and Taylor for Pennsylvania State University.

I don't know where you are located, but sadly it is the "winner" mentality taught in the US. Sportsmanship is not a big part of the culture and most definitely the concept of javanmardi doesn't exist. Please note: there is of course exceptions to this, specially to Americans from different regions of the US that interact more with different cultures and ethnicities. David Taylor, while born in Nevada, grew up in the Midwest of US (Ohio), which is definitely a part of the US I wouldn't expect much of sportsmanship concept. He will want to win, no matter what. If Yazdani shows any signs of weakness or injury, Taylor will exploit that to it's full potential to win. I want Yazdani to win just to crush that ego. It's one thing to be the champ, but humility is what separates a champion from a jahan pahlevan.

I have lived in U.S. for the better part of 30 years now, mostly in NC and now Northern VA. I am fairly familiar with the win at all cost mentality... I am with you with respect to DT. I want our pahlevan to CRUSH this guy tomorrow morning. I want him to make this guy humble. It certainly is a major culture clash. But as you mentioned about DT, there is also another side, another wrestler loved by Iranians and a great one in Jordan Burroughs. So although DT may represent a segment of US population, JB shows that there are Americans who do show sportsmanship after defeats as well as victories.
