They have done some of the competitions before to be at this stage.

To my understanding, A1 (first place in group A) will fight B2 (second person in group B). Winner will go to compete for first or second place.
A2 will compete with B1 (our person). Winner to compete for Gold or Silver. Loser will get Bronze.

There are 5 positions in the group . We need to come 2nd for what you are saying to be true
