Problems in federation + rostami didnt make it, + moradi was injured and didnt have the time to come back really, also didnt make it.

Omg Foroughi! Who imagined this guy would win a gold Olympic medal? He is an Iranian hero for that performance. This is such a nice surprise with many people believing our medal count would have just one gold medal (Hassan Yazdani in wrestling). I am so proud of Foroughi.

What I loved about Forooghi was also his mental strength. Often Iranian athletes collapse in such tense situations, but he was cool like steel. Very confident and secure about his skills. May his power inspire other Iranian athletes. Again, his story is an inspiration for all of us. Awesome athlete! Guys, anything is possible if you believe in it and fight for it.
Perhaps this is a start to an Olympic games who almost none of us would have imagined. Maybe 5 gold medals are possible here...

no as expected. all 3 were dark horses who have potential to make the semis. iran will be dark horse in team event as well but there wont be any room for such collapses
