Seems unfortunate that In taekwondo we did not get a repechage chance because Hadipour opponent did not make the finals. But In fencing 2 of the Iranians lost to eventual gold medalist and the other Iranian lost to the silver medalist and no repechage in fencing lol

This was one of the greatest victories in our volleyball history. That idiot Kubiak spoke before the game and said that Iran wouldn’t be a difficult opponent. From now on he should keep his mouth shut.

Lets not take it too far, Nokhodi is not IR agent, he is actually a great person who is in love with our land, and everything related to, despite growing up outside the country.

They are not brought in a sense that they naturalized foreigners. If they are a child of an Iranian, they are considered Iranian and can play for Iran. I don’t know if it has changed but if the dad is an Iranian citizen, even if the child is born outside of Iran, the Iranian constitution considers the child Iranian. These guys are not naturalized citizens.

No I know, and yes it's still the case with dad being iranian = you are a citizen, and I truly admire them for accepting the invite to play for Iran, we all know it's truly an honor, I just meant they were born abroad and invited to play for TM that way

Let’s not forget that these men and women are doing amazing with the bare minimum. Look at these jerseys (or any other Iran jersey in this tournament). They are going up against world class competitors who have relatively unlimited Nike/Addidas/etc. sponsorship, team cash, resources, coaching, medical staff, etc.
