I don’t think so , she would have to pull off something extraordinary to get to the final. Her style of rowing though is all about strength over technique. In the first round she smashed into the lead but couldn’t quite sustain it.

Would have preferred to meet Italy instead of Venezuela now that the boys are on cloud nine.

Hopefully we beat Venezuela 3-0, without giving them more than 15 points/set.

I watched her first event without even knowing there was someone from Iran representing. Out of the gate she got such massive lead, too bad she couldn't sustain it. Proud of her for making it this far.

Wow, according to Mehroo Kamrani Iran’s women taekwondo coach Alizadeh hadn’t qualified, but was put in place to face Nahid Kiani after a Chilean withdrew because of covid. She says that the International Olympic Committee wanted to make sure two Iranians faced each other and that according to the rules after the Chilean withdrew the tournament should have been reseeded instead of replacing the Chilean with Alizadeh.
