Just watched replay of volleyball. Heartbreaking. At 20-20 4th set we missed a serve and gave Japan the advantage. In 5th set we fell behind early but still came back. Down 13-12 we had a real chance to tie it but I think marouf passed to the outside and ghafour had a tough angle to hit it. Japan won the point and went on to win

Japan definitely deserved it as they were much more consistent, Altho when Iran clicks they play at higher level

Biggest thing I realized was Iran is awful at serve consistency, and Japan is amazing at returning/saving serves. They even got some of Irans more difficult serves while Iranians tarofing or just standing around when Japan hits a good serve.

Lets take Djokovic. One of the best athletes ever. Could not handle the mental pressure of Olympics, which is huge. So he was not "hungry" to win?

This is some tough competition to win. Olympics are very different and hard.
