Canada is really surprising me. Not only are they getting good away results but they are playing good too. I really think they are going to qualify.

They have over half squad playing abord in some decent European leagues and the rest in MLS. This is their strongest squad in last 30 years maybe.
Having 3 teams in MLS changed the culture a bit. Before most players used to play in some amateur leagues or 3rd, 4th div in europe

Yeah Larin and Hutchinson…..especially Hutchinson, the guy is simply incredible. 39 years old and plays like a hungry prospect with something to prove. He had arguably his best season of his career last year. He looks like he can play another 3 years if he wanted to.

Yeah Davies is world class, Jo David is pretty good, and there are few decent euro base such as, Vitoria, Estaquio, Millar, etc.

These players are good but they've had good players in the past as well. Specifically I'm thinking DeRosario and his generation. I think much of the credit should go to the coach as they play as a cohesive unit and not just 11 good players.

Not even close in ability. De Rosario was a good player for MLS levels but that’s not enough. Canada now has players that are doing very well in Europe. I would even say comparable if not better than the US legionnaires.

I guess it just depends on your definition of world class…..to me, I think of world class players are the ones who can dominate or really shine in a top 4-5 league or a competitive CL team.

I have followed Hutchinson for a while now and every time I watch the guy play he really looks on another level compared to the rest of the ppl on the pitch. He could have played in much bigger leagues/teams than he has so he makes the cut for me.

So does Jonathan David who played a big role in lile’s championship run. He is for sure a world class forward IMO.

Those are 3 world class players in my book…..I wouldn’t call Larin world class but he is definitely a high quality forward who can do a lot more than just score. So I maybe stretched it a bit but point is there was never a time in Canadian history where they had this many quality players at once. De Rosario who is probably Canada’s best ever wouldn’t even be one of the top dogs in a midfield like this next to hoilet arfield and buchanan
