On November 14, 2021, nine teams have qualified for the 2022 World Cup, eventually the playing field will come down to 32 teams, while Qatar is the host country and get an automatic place the rest must go through qualification. Honestly Canada looks real strong. When was the last time we could say that about Canada in men's football?

Can a AFC team be in the same group as a CONCACAF team? I remember in the previous world cups they haven't allowed this in order to avoid too many weak groupings and too many groups of death. Honestly the way Canada has improved means that even if it is possible for them to end up in team meli's group at the world cup, the match would be a difficult one for team meli.

You surely dont think I forgot about 98 when I asked my question. In recent iterations of the world cup, AFC and CONCACAF couldn't be in the same group. Has this rule been reverted back?
