We came from behind to beat the Saudis and we were behind for most part in this one as well. We showed a good mentality. But sometime near the end we conceeded when Kuwait had two players sent off for 2 minutes. We need to improve further but we are qualified for 2023. We did pretty ok back in 2015 leaving Chile, Saudi arabia and Algeria behind us.
This time it´s again a Spaniard who brought us to the World Championships.

I just realized this tournament was supposed to be held in Iran, but the assholes in charge moved it to Saudi.

What a game! Shows you what difference a top coach can make for a team. And this was pretty much our young B team, and most of our stars and legionaires with the exception of sajjad and Pouya were missing. Great tournament!

Really? thats nice to hear in a way. And just checked the coach, he's been assistant of Spain and Qatar when they achieved big things, and head coach of Romania, not a bad resume!

Yes. For all sort of reasons we never seem to have our complete squad in any handball tournament. The golden generation deserved to achieve a lot more, but seeing these matches it seems the new guys aren't bad either.
And yeah the coach is one of the best tacticians out there.
