Isn't Venezuela a pretty decent team (compared to Asian teams)?

Nice to see we have 5 players on the final roster age 22 and younger. Iran needs to start building for the future generation of Team Melli and hopefully this tournament will be a good opportunity to kickstart that. Obviously Mohammad Amini is the biggest name to watch for going forward

        Iran's roster with player ages

        Hamed Haddadi - 38 years

        Arsalan Kazemi - 33 years

        Behnam Yakhchali - 28 years

        Sina Vahedi - 22 years

        Navid Rezaeifar - 26 years

        Sajjad Mashayekhi - 29 years

        Mohammad Amini - 18 years

        Hassan AliAkbari - 27 years

        Meisam Mirzaei - 31 years

        Halal Aghamiri - 22 years

        Matin Aghajanpour - 22 years

        Piter Grigorian- 21 years

        Average Age: 26.4 years

Mohammad Amini is officially the 2nd youngest player at the entire World Cup. He has a real shot at putting his name on the radar everywhere

I assume he will get lots of play time and opportunity to show himself considering how well he played in the friendly games leading up to the tournament

Our coach is garbage but yeah neither Brazil or Ivory Coast are that good. It’s possible, just not likely

Haddadi is probably the best FIBA player on the floor in those games as long as he can keep up with the old age. X factor is Arsalan Kazemi. He needs to help Haddadi on the rebounds. I think Amini can help carry the offensive load as he’s the most dynamic offensive player for Iran

                    The turk guy isn't good?
How our handball and volley can get good foreign coach but not our basket?

Idk too much about him but from initial impression he hasn’t been great. Hopefully he leads the team to a surprise performance

Arsalan really missed up. he could have had a great career in Europe and even try to get back into NBA. what a waste.

Main goal here should be Olympic qualification
