Steel Azin spurn Al Ahli offer for Karimi [VIDEO]

AFC – TEHRAN, Iran Pro League outfit Steel Azin have rejected a US$500,000 loan offer for their star midfielder Ali Karimi from UAE champions Al Ahli.

According to media reports, the AFC Champions League side wanted the former AFC Player of the Year to join their ranks till the end of the season.

Al Ahli, who are lying seventh in the 12-team league after 11 rounds, will meet Qatar’s Al Sadd, Iran’s Mes Kerman and Saudi club Al Hilal in Group A of the ACL this year.

Steel Azin are third in the Iran League table after 23 games with 36 points, nine less than leaders Sepahan.
