Loading...PFDC – TEHRAN, Former Team Melli captain Mehdi Mahdavikia cancelled his contract with GermanBundesliga outfits Eintracht Frankfurt and joined Tehran based Steel Azin instead.

Mahdavikia had joined Frankfurt from Hamburg in summer 2007, but never managed to establish himself there.
The nimble rightwinger overall appeared in 255 Bundesliga games for Vfl Bochum, Hamburg SV and Eintracht Frankfurt between 1999 and 2009, scoring 29 and assisting 57 goals in the process.
Mahdavikia had his most successful season in 2002/03, when he finished the period as the Bundesliga’s best assister.
