The win sees the Pamplona based side climb to 12th and move six points clear of the relegation zone after 19 rounds.
The Basque side have had problems in front of the goal, having scored only 16 league goals prior to this match, but Xerez have the worst record of the league with only 8 goals.
Osasuna took the lead through Nacho Monreal after 9 minutes when the left back after Renan had just made a fine save on Pandiani’s effot.
But the visiting side were pegged back by Mario Bermejo 13 minutes later.
However, Camacho’s men grabbed the winner late in the match thanks to Javier Camunas with just under 8 minutes remaining. The 29-year-old completed a beautiful set up by Juanfran who had made his way through two defenders before providing a neat pass in front of the goal.
Javad Nekounam who played the full match had a quiet afternoon while his compatriot Masoud Shojaei who was introduced after 70 minutes did well. The 25-year-old who replaced the unefficient Aranda was involved in Osasuna’s second goal and brought some energy to an anemic offense.

Osasuna: Ricardo, Azpilicueta, Monreal, Flaño, Sergio, Nekounam, Puñal, Pandiani (Dady, m. 86), Juanfran, Camuñas (Alan Baro, m. 90), Aranda (Masoud, m. 69)

Goals: 0-1, m.9, Monreal; 1-1, m.21, Bermejo; 1-2 m.82, Camuñas.
