Iran FF taking Vision Asia to next level
AFC – KUALA LUMPUR, The Iran Football Federation (IRIFF) has innovated its own version of “Vision Iran” programme with the objective of further expanding the AFC’s Vision Asia project.
IRIFF last month organised a seminar with an AFC Vision Asia delegation and representatives of various provinces, including two Vision Asia cities – Fars and Esfahan.
Fars and Esfahan have been among the enthusiastic Vision Iran projects. They took the knowledge given to them by AFC and visited other provinces who wished to develop their football in accordance with Vision Asia’s principles, acting as their ‘mentor’.
Currently, there are already 16 provinces in the “Vision Iran” project.
During the February 24 seminar, the Fars and Esfahan representatives said they wanted to improve upon their own finance and marketing and were also keen to expand futsal and women’s football.
The AFC Vision Asia delegation also visited Hamedan, Qazvin and met representatives of four new provinces– Ardebil, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran and Yazd, where assessment visits are being planned for May.
