Fresh start planned for Project Qazvin
Kuala Lumpur: The AFC is keen for the Qazvin Football Association to restart its Vision Asia “Phase 2” Programme that would lead to the launch of a top provincial league.
In a letter sent to the Iran Football Federation (IRIFF) this week, AFC asked the Qazvin FA to set things in motions in order give clubs the chance to compete against each other in a competitive environment.
This includes introducing standard regulations and criteria as well as formulating league regulations for clubs.
AFC has suggested a tentative timeline for Project Qazvin and is hoping to receive feedback from the QFA by April 16.
Qazvin is one of six regions involved in the Vision Iran programme, along with Fars, Isfahan, Hamedan, Hormozgan and Tehran.
