MajidiCelebrating1AFC – KUALA LUMPUR, Al Sadd marksman Leandro continues to lead the AFC Champions League 2010 goalscoring charts despite missing a penalty on Match Day 4.

Sadd lost 3-1 to Iran’s Mes Kerman in Group D with Leandro slamming his spot-kick against the crossbar in the latter stages of the game.

He still tops the scorers list on five goals thanks to his antics in previous games, including a double at home to Mes on MD3.

On four goals are Yasser Al Qahtani (Al Hilal, Saudi Arabia), Farhad Majidi (Esteghlal, Iran), Flavio (Al Shabab, Saudi Arabia), Shoki Hirai (Gamba Osaka, Japan) and Jose Mota (Suwon Bluewings, Korea Republic).

Angolan foward Flavio hit two goals in Shabab’s 3-2 Group C victory over UAE’s Al Ain while Hirai was on target for Gamba as they beat Singapore Armed Forces 3-0 in Group G.

Qahtani scored Hilal’s first in their 3-2 away win over UAE’s Al Ahli in Group D.

Saudi clubs dominate the team goalscoring honours with all four clubs in the top 10 but it is Japan’s Kashima Antlers who top the table with 11 goals in total.

Eight of Kashima’s goals came in their last two matches, both against Indonesia’s Persipura Jayapura in Group F – 5-0 at home and 3-1 away.

On 10 goals are Al Hilal and Al Ahli (both Saudi Arabia), Sadd and China’s Changchun Yatai, who scored nine against Persipura on MD2.

After four matches, there is only one team out of 32 who have yet to concede a goal – Suwon, who have scored six without reply and have already qualified for the Round of 16.
