Iran, Russia to Boost Football Cooperation

FNA – Iranian and Russian football federations signed an agreement on Saturday to boost mutual cooperation.   

According to FNA dispatches, the agreement was signed in a meeting between President of Iran’s Football Federation (IFF) Ali Kaffashian and his Russian counterpart Sergey Fursenko in Johannesburg, South Africa.

During the meeting, also attended by IFF Secretary Mehdi Mohammad Nabi and Head of IFF International Relations Committee Abbas Torabian as well as Head of the Russian Premier League, the two sides agreed to launch cooperation in men’s football, futsal, women’s football in all age groups and arrange friendly matches.

The two sides will also interact and cooperate in holding technical training courses for managers, players and coaches.

The two officials also underlined immediate implementation of the agreement.
