Loading...AFC – KUALA LUMPUR, Fans across the world will be able to buy tickets online for AFC’s flagship tournament, the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™, from July 25, 2010.
The continental showcase will be held in Doha next year from January 7-29 and will feature the best 16 teams of Asia.
The ticket sales follow the 2007 edition’s model when AFC successfully pioneered online ticket sales after tying up with a major ticketing partner.
Come Sunday, July 25, fans will be able to purchase their tickets online via the AFC’s official website. Major credit cards will be accepted.
Further, thanks to the advances in ticketing technology, Asian football fans will be able to choose their matches, ticket categories and seat locations within the stadiums. They may also purchase multiple tickets for one match or a group of matches at the same time.
The opening match of the tournament will see hosts Qatar clash with 2007 quarter-finalists Uzbekistan.
Iraq won the AFC Asian Cup 2007™ edition after defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the final held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
