Esteghlal nearly stumble in Tabriz [VIDEO]
Shahrdari wrong-footed Esteghlal three minutes after kickoff when Saeed Daghighi helped the home side taking the lead.
Iranian national team player Arash Borhani benefited from a horrible mistake in Shahrdari’s rearguard and brought the Tehran giant back into line in the 28th minute.
Milad Meydavoudi’s brace barely after the half-time break ensured three points for Esteghlal. Shahrdari had shortcomings in the attacking game and in the defence while Esteghlal struggled to extend the lead. Shahrdari’s Ali Karimi ( not Steel Azin’s Ali Karimi) scored the last goal in an overall weak opening game of the new season.
