Iran to take on Armenia in August
PFDC – YEREVAN, Iran and Armenia agreed to a friendly match in Yerevan on August 11, the homepage of the Armenian football federation confirms.
The game on the official FIFA matchday is scheduled to kick off at 9pm local time. It will be the first time that the two neighbouring countries meet in a friendly match.
Iran are preparing for the Asian Cup in January 2011 in Qatar where they have been grouped with defending champions Iraq, Korea DPR and the UAE.
Armenia will have to engage in the qualification for the Euro 2012 where they will face Russia, Slovakia, Ireland, Macedonia and Andorra.
