Iranian duo shine in important Osasuna win [VIDEO]

Loading...PFDC – PAMPLONA, The Iranian Duo Masoud Shojaei and Javad Nekounam shined in Osasuna’s victory over Malaga at the Reyno de Navarra on Sunday evening.
The hosts took the lead just a couple of minutes after the beginning of the first halftime in front of 16,000 enthusiastic spectators.
Osasuna midfielder Juanfran was unfairly stopped by Malaga defender Manu Torres inside the penalty area, the Iranian international Javad Nekounam easily converted the penalty kick (3′).
In further consequence, the Basque side dominated the match and deservedly extended the lead eight minutes before the halftime whistle thanks to another Iranian international, Masoud Shojaei.
The attacking midfielder scored a beautiful goal after a perfect cross by Juanfran (37′).
The third goal scored by Osasuna striker Carlos Aranda was just a matter of time. Nekounam assisted Aranda’s goal from close range with a nice header and underlined his convincing performance (55′).
Both Iranians started from the beginning and performed strongly and commended themselves for upcoming starting lineups.
