Osasuna2EITB – PAMPLONA, Thursday’s knock out game between Deportivo A Coruña and Osasuna worked in the Galicians’ favour despite ending in a 1-1 draw.

The Navarrans played well in the first half, but A Coruña put the pressure on in the second half. Juanfran’s 68th minute goal for Osasuna only put the team ahead for two minutes, as Deportivo’s Saul evened the scores in the 70th thanks to a defensive error from the Pamplonese.

The Reds had their best chance in the 11th minute of the first half, when a shot from Nekounam came close to taking Osasuna ahead. But the blast from the Iranian’s foot proved no great challenge for Galician goalie Manu.

Lotina’s men went on to dominate the rest of the match. After equalising, Deportivo visibly upped their game creating chances and posing a number of risks to the home side’s aptly named goalie, Riesgo.

José Antonio Camancho’s side will have to work harder if they want to move onto the knock-out road.
