Forlan too much to handle for Osasuna

PFDC – MADRID, Osasuna suffered a clear 0-3 defeat in the hands of Atletico Madrid in Spanish league on Saturday evening.

Man of the match was Diego Forlan, who scored two goals and assited Aguero’s 2-0 as well.

Osasuna’s Monreal was sent off early in second half for an obviously unintentional handplay, a false call which finally sealed Osasuna’s destiny.

Javad Nekounam played 81 minutes and had a solid display in defensive midfield, being flawless defensively but delivering little offensive contribution. Masoud Shojaei played the full match and after looking slightly unconcentrated early in the game improved constantly throughout the match and overall had a satisfying performance.

Shojaei, playing as leftwinger, could have added his name to the scoresheet eight minutes into second half when he got past two markers, but had his good shot saved by the goalkeeper.
